Day 215: Kampot and Caves

Kampot is our last stop in Cambodia before we head up to Phnom Penh and catch our flights out. It’s a tiny little place just a bit further inland and East of Sihanoukville. Today we caught a tuk tuk with another girl and went to go visit some caves, which Clem and I ended up sort of potholing through. It was as terrifying as I had imagined it to be, but still it was not entirely pleasant, especially as it was incredibly sweaty in there. The countryside around here is really beautiful; its very flat and you can see for miles, all the houses are on little stilts so that in the rainy season they avoid the flooding. The roads are just dirt tracks lined with palm trees and various other trees, with little motorbikes and mopeds whizzing along throwing up red dust.
