Day 23: Construction site

Yesterday I started on the construction project where we are adding onto a community centre in a little village called Ticatica (in the hills above Cusco). Marco, a local Peruvian, heads up the project and is in charge of telling us what to do, which is extremely useful as most of us have little or no background in building whatsoever. There is a little family who live right next to where we are building and there are four children (I think) and their dog called Scotty. All of the kids are constantly running across the building site and have so almost been hit by various planks of wood and steel rods, but Marco seems fairly relaxed and doesn't seem too fussed.
